Pimsleur Comprehensive Japanese I CD (30 half-hour Lectures)
Learn Japanese in 30 days! Pimsleur Level I Japanese Language Programs will, uniquely in this short period, take you to the "Intermediate Low" level of spoken Japanese as determined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages ( ACTFL scale ). At this level you will be able to create with the Japanese language, ask and answer simple questions on familiar topics in Japanese, and handle a simple situation or transaction. Advanced fluency is a longer journey made immeasurably faster and more enjoyable as you are able to add Pimsleur Japanese Levels II and III.
Pimsleur Comprehensive Japanese II CD (30 half-hour Lectures)
Completion of Comprehensive Japanese II will take you to the mid-intermediate level of spoken competency in Japanese as defined by the ACTFL scale. You will have acquired two-thirds of the essential core (the function words) of your new language, dramatically increasing your powers of creative, extemporaneous expression in Japanese.
Pimsleur Comprehensive Japanese III CD (30 half-hour Lectures)
Completing Comprehensive Japanese III will take you to the Intermediate High Level on the ACTFL scale) where you can "narrate and describe in past, present, and future time/aspect, and handle a complicated situation or transaction" in Japanese. After completion (congratulations! you now enjoy that life-long treasure, a new language), you will be able to converse freely with native Japanese speakers (the best way for continuing your accelerated rate of progress) and continue to perfect your communication ability in Japanese.
